How do you make your Partner Drive in L.A. Noire PC edition?

Got the game on Steam, really enjoy it, but I want my partner to drive me Places. How do i do that? I know you use E to get into the car, but that makes me drive it.How do you make your Partner Drive in L.A. Noire PC edition?
I have no idea, but i would really also like to know that
